Master Police Officer Evan Cantrall
Orlando Police Department Liaison Officer

Master Police Officer Evan Cantrall grew up right
here in Central Florida and received his Bachelor’s degree in Criminal
Justice from the University of Central Florida (UCF).
Officer Cantrall joined the Orlando Police
Department (OPD) in 1989. Since that time he has spent portions of his
22 years with the OPD serving in the patrol, investigations, airport and
crime prevention divisions. Officer Cantrall is currently working on
his Master’s degree in Homeland Security from American Military
University and hopes to complete his studies by the end of the year
(2011).
During his free time Officer Cantrall spends time
coaching a competitive youth soccer team that travels throughout the
state.
Officer Cantrall says “I have the pleasure of
having a second tour of duty with Commissioner Sheehan. And when people
ask why I left the Liaison position with Commissioner Sheehan the first
time – I let them know that it was only because I was lacking a year in
patrol to acquire the rank of Master Police Officer. This is the reason
I had to leave the position with Commissioner Sheehan, to get the patrol
time needed and to earn the rank of Master Police Officer.”
Officer Cantrall always accompanies Commissioner
Sheehan at Neighborhood Association Meetings, Neighborhood Watch
Meetings and other community events to give the perspective from a
police officer and also help share some stories from “in the field” and
regarding what’s currently happening in any specific area of the City.
Officier Cantrall goes on
to say “It has been a pleasure to have the opportunity to work with
Commissioner Sheehan twice and also with the wonderful people in
District 4.” |
