Church Street Station Train Prepares to Move

WHAT:
This afternoon, crews from RE Johnson will begin preparing the Passenger Car from the Church Street Station Train to be moved by truck to its new location at the Gulf Coast Railway Museum in Parrish, Florida. The train will be moved one car at a time, with the passenger car going first and the engine car last. This move is expected to take up to two weeks.

Tomorrow morning at 5:45 to 6 a.m. the passenger car will depart Downtown Orlando on a flatbed truck. The route the passenger car will take is:
East on South Street
Right onto Orange Ave.
Right onto Anderson Street over I4
Right onto Division
Left onto South Street
Right onto OBT

The truck will hold on OBT between South Street and Colonial until about 9 – 9:30 a.m. when traffic lightens.

The truck will then head west onto Colonial.

RE Johnson has indicated the best visuals today will occur approximately at 3 p.m.
