To recognize these organizations and their volunteers, who have a significant impact on the well-being of our community, Mayor Buddy Dyer has created the Community Builder Award. This award honors citizen volunteers and organizations that excel in their efforts to build a better community. |

These individuals and organizations, with determination and heart, have improved our community in many areas, including the environment, arts, crime prevention, education, sports, recreation and much more. Through their actions, these community builders make our city a better place to live, work and raise a family.
Mayor Dyer will present the Community Builder Award at his annual Neighborhood and Community Summit held in the spring of each year. This award will be presented for the second time at the 2012 Neighborhood and Community Summit.

CRITERIA
NOMINATION DEADLINE FEBRUARY 28 OF EACH YEAR
Nominations may be submitted throughout the year
by completing the online
nomination form. Nominations for
2012 consideration must be received by 5 p.m. on February 28, 2012.The
City of Orlando will contact the nominator and the nominee after the
selection process in March 2012.For additional information, contact the
