Community Support Program

The community support program will use the most widely accepted standard in the State of Florida and the nation to determine financial need: qualification for the Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) program, commonly known as Food Stamps.  As a result, City families who are on EBT will be able to go on-line with staff at our recreation centers to pull up their EBT accounts, and all the children listed on their account will be able to enroll in our summer camp free of charge.  Visit your nearest center in order to prequalify beginning on April 2, 2012.

If you already are on EBT, please bring your EBT card and on-line EBT log-in information to our Center when you come in to prequalify.  If you don’t have on-line log-in information, our Center staff will be happy to assist you obtaining it.

If you are not interested in EBT but still wish to apply for our community support program, bring the required documents when you come to prequalify, including your Florida ID or Driver’s License, another document that verifies your residence within City limits (rental agreement, utility bill, mortgage, voter registration card), and your family’s 2011 income tax return with W-2 forms.  Our staff will review this information to determine whether you are eligible.
