Sand Cordgrass is an under-appreciated under-used
ornamental landscape plant. It can be grown at the water's
edge or in high and dry situations. Use it alone or massed
in groups in large landscapes. The whole plant is
brownish-green: more green in the summer, more brown in the
Cordgrass is to big for small gardens.
There is a use for the entire plant. The dry
stems are attractive in dried arrangements and the seeds are
important wildlife food.
