Use Fringe-Tree as an accent plant. It blooms in
the late spring and its black fruit is very eye catching.

The Choctaw Indians of Louisiana were recorded in the late
1800's as having used the bark for an astringent. They
boiled the bark in water and cleansed external wounds with the
extract. The bark was also mashed to make a poultice to help
close the wounds.
