National Night Out 2009 (NNO) is coming!!! 
August 4th is your night to shine!!! How will you support Safe Neighborhoods in the City Beautiful? The information below will give you all of the guidelines for your party.

National Night Out Theme:
"Neighbors Knowing Neighbors"

Crime Prevention Theme Party Contest
First, Second, and Third Place prizes will be given to the watch area scoring the highest on their theme party outline. Outlines will be judged on the following: Use of Theme, Creativity, Neighborhood Involvement, Crime Prevention Usage, and Clarity. (See the Judging Form
here) Winning parties will have a crime prevention theme that ties in to Orlando's NNO theme. Please include a detailed narrative of your party plans with your application. Entries must be received before July 6th, 2009.

Prizes
Each winning party will receive prizes and a visit from the NNO Special Caravan: Mayor Buddy Dyer, Police Chief Val B. Demings, Fire Chief Jim Reynolds, and the Orlando City Commissioners.

National Night Out Block Party Package
All registered parties are eligible to receive a NNO '09 Block Party Package that will aid in your NNO celebration. If your registration is received by July 6th, the Block Party Package will be delivered to the address you provided on your application. If you submit your application after the deadline date, please use the following pick up schedule:

  July 21 3pm - 7pm OPD Headquarters, 100 S. Hughey Ave
  July 22 10am - 2pm OPD Headquarters, 100 S. Hughey Ave
  July 23 3pm - 7pm OPD Headquarters, 100 S. Hughey Ave

Women's Self Defense Training
As a thank you for your dedication to Neighborhood Watch and National Night Out, the Orlando Police Department is offering four self-defense classes for female Neighborhood Watch members only. Class size is limited to 25 students each. Each class will be held at the Orlando Police Department Headquarters starting at 6pm lasting until 8:30pm on the following evenings:

July 16      July 21      July 23     July 27
