Event: Super Kids Celebration

SUMMARY

On Thursday, March 29, 2007, The Orlando Police's Department Super Kid's Unit will host a SUPER CELEBRATION! Approximately 3000 5th grade students from 28 Orange County Schools are celebrating a successful completion of the Police Departments, Kids Making Positive Choices Program. The program is 9 weeks of classroom instructions on topics such as PEER PRESSURE, ANGER MANAGEMENT, and CONFLICT RESOLUTION AND DRUG RESISTANCE. The students, after having to participate in these lessons, are required to write an essay on things that they have learned and the steps they plan to take to be a SUPER KID.

The 9th week is a big celebration, highlighting and recognizing these successes, reaffirming that each child is indeed a SUPER KID!

The program starts at 10:30, at Calvary Assembly Church 1199 Clay Street. Featured acts for the celebration are, The Kid Power Kidz, COL Steppers, The Edgewater Step Team and Drum Corp, Jennie John, Big Fish, Brandi Merich, International Karate Kids and The Valencia Vixens.
