Event: 10th Annual Kicks for Guns-2008

Stop the violence and get a new pair of tennis shoes for unwanted guns. NO
QUESTIONS ASKED!
This year the Orlando Police Department, Orange County Sheriff’s Office and
Osceola County Sheriffs Office are partnering with Real Radio 104.1’s Monsters,
102.JAMZ, Rumba 100.3 to sponsor the 10th Annual Kicks for Guns-2008.
The Kicks for Guns event will take place on Thursday, August 14, 2008.
Individuals can exchange an unloaded firearm for a pair of new tennis shoes or a
miscellaneous gift card (while they last).
Those wishing to participate can drop off a gun at either the Citrus Bowl at
1610 W. Church Street, Central Florida Fairgrounds at 4603 W Colonial Drive or
at Primera Iglesia Church at 2440 Boggy Creek Road
Drop off times at all three locations are from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 4:00
p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Mayor Buddy Dyer will be at the Citrus
Bowl Location at 10:00 a.m.
Important Reminder: All firearms should be unloaded and safely secured.
For safety reasons if you cannot unload the weapon safely prior to your arrival,
please leave the weapon locked in the vehicle and an officer will escort you to
retrieve the weapon.
