National Public Safety Telecommunications Week-2009



Orlando Police Department will be celebrating National Public Safety Telecommunication Week from April 12 -18th, 2009. This national week of celebration was established by Congress in October 1991 to recognize the dedicated men and women who provide invaluable public safety services to their communities. In 2008, the Orlando Police Emergency Communications Specialists answered over 275,889 emergency and 657,551 non-emergency telephone calls. They are truly the first responder!
