Special Events and Permits
This section is responsible for the design, review, and approval of traffic control plans for construction projects and maintenance / utility work in the City's right-of-way, and for the coordination and design of transportation management plans for special events.
This section also reviews and approves right-of-way utilization permits and road closure authorization requests relating to civil construction activities and utility / maintenance work. Other duties include notification of road closures to the news media, downtown Orlando residents, business owners, churches and the public through a mail-out notification process, by telephone, FAX or the internet.
