GRANTS MANAGEMENT
Grants received by the City of
Orlando (the “City”) support important programs and services which
the City provides to the community such as economic development,
social services, public safety, recreation, and infrastructure
improvement and maintenance, among others. Because these funds allow
the City to leverage resources, the impact of grant funding upon the
community is significant, with the process of grants administration
and management a critical and important function.
The City of Orlando fosters
exceptional stewardship of the public trust through a rigorous
adherence to ethical and professional standards associated with
grant related activity. To accomplish this, the City’s Finance
Grants Unit oversees and monitors grants and other external awards
that are dispensed to the City directly, or passed through another
entity such as the state or other governmental and non-state
entities.
