Human Resources
Clerical Testing
Clerical testing is given only when
clerical positions are available and done at the time of application.
Testing must be completed by 4:30 p.m. each
day and by the job closing date. Applicants are given two
opportunities to pass the typing test during the posting period.
Only one test per day is permitted. Therefore, applicants waiting
until the last day of the posting will have only one opportunity to take a
typing test. A thirty day waiting period is required between
each two tests taken.
Persons with a disability
requiring reasonable accommodations should call (407) 246-2235 to
schedule tests.
Pre-Employment Testing,
Background Checks and Polygraphs
Applicants selected for employment
will be required to successfully pass a criminal background check and a
physical examination, which includes drug screening.
Final
candidates for all Police Department positions, fire dispatch positions, security
officers, recreation facility supervisors, cash-handling positions, and
other positions determined by the City of Orlando will be polygraphed.
