Personal Experience —
I have always been drawn to paintings I have seen in houses or restaurants. Maybe through a kind of stimulus or magnetism, this attraction led me toward the physical and metaphysical through art. Only as children can we appreciate art in its simplest and most practical form — drawings and building with toys as a nice hobby. Itʼs only later, as we gr ow up and gain some consciousness of what we desire to become, that the curiosity for paint or sculpture, takes us toward a deeper dedication and study.
Art is a condition of the human life — a way of communication for people to convey thoughts, ideas, and feelings that bind them together. Itʼs a way of searching for oneʼs inner self, bringing you closer to the answers you seek from simple emotions. It is essential for humanityʼs progress, evolution, and development. For these reasons, I consider Art to be a universal element — bound to serve its age, and its inhabitants.
The whole of human existence is filled with artistic expression. With all of these expressions — love, freedom, sadness, grief, mystery, joy, science, faith, etc — common ideas and feelings that unify the human experience can be found. This is where the artist, through his work, is able to capture the need and reality of the age and create an expression through painting, sculpture, music, dance, etc. Because of this, each person can feel drawn to a work of art, seeing their own reality and needs captured within.
Each artist seeks the meaning of life, as well as the activity that will lead to them to their unique expression of the human existence through creation and work. Utilizing art to represent and express their reality, artists can come to a better understanding of themselves, better convey emotions, which is ultimately at the very core of the human experience.
Painting is considered one of the highest forms of artistic expression — and one of the most ancient. It has been used to convey ideas, emotions, and visions, since the beginning of human history. From paintings on the cave walls, to the age of social networking, image, color, light, and line have been tools for the development and evolution of man. For this reason, I believe Art is truly the highest form of education for the development for mankind.
