Exhibition Overview

Chinese Brush Painting is an ancient art form dating back hundreds of years.  Both representational and symbolic, images of flowers and animals often offer multiple meanings such as good luck, renewal and wisdom.  This style of painting is particularly challenging as each brush stroke is intended to be a singularly defining move, with no room for improvement or correction once the ink is applied to rice paper or silk.

Formed in 2004, the Orlando Oriental Brush Painting Society is a group of artists dedicated to continuing the study of the ancient art of Chinese Brush Painting.
