Artist Bio
Doctor Leslie Hagan’s interest
in photography began in 1969 when she borrowed her husband’s
camera and set up a darkroom in the bathroom. Though
bolstered by more than 30 years of experience in the medium,
Leslie continues to expand her knowledge of the craft, both
by attending new classes and workshops every year and by
submitting her striking nature photos to art shows
throughout Florida. She writes, “I feel that we rush through
life much too quickly and need to slow down so we can see
and appreciate the beauty in the tiniest flower or insect.
This is the theme throughout my photography. Stop and look.
Reflect and enjoy.” Dr. Hagan has studied with instructors
Joyce Tenneson, Elisabeth Opalenik and Vincent Verasce,
among others. In addition to pursuing her love of
photography Dr. Hagan also runs a thoroughbred farm in
Ocala, Florida.
