Orlando Fire Department Station 2, “The Pride of Parramore,” is getting a new home. On September 8, residents are invited to join Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, District 5 City Commissioner Regina I. Hill and Fire Chief Roderick Williams to break ground on the newest fire station in Orlando.
The station, which is scheduled to open summer 2016, will be located at 1203 West Robinson Street. The groundbreaking is set for 11:30 a.m. During the event, firefighters will offer free blood-pressure checks and hands-only CPR training, as well as light refreshments.
A LEED-certified, modern facility, the new station will provide enhanced services to the residents and businesses of the Parramore neighborhood.
