The City of Orlando is seeking an artist to design and create a public art piece for the Orlando Loch Haven Park area. This rare opportunity will allow the artist to display their work near the platform of the SunRail stop at Florida Hospital’s Health Village.
Designs must serve as a gateway to Loch Haven Park and reflect its cultural amenities. Contestants should consider when applying the social, economic and aesthetic values of the area and provide an enlightening experience for commuters.
The chosen piece will continue to visually add to the beauty of the community by reflecting the City’s dedication to the arts. The application deadline is December 12 by 5 p.m. A select group of artists will be invited thereafter to submit a site-specific proposal to be completed and installed by March 15, 2015.
