ORLANDO (CityofOrlando.net) – In the past 50 years, a lesson learned in Orlando is that we must work together toward our common goals rather than foster distrust because of our differences.
To show support of the 50th anniversary of the passage of the Civil Rights Act, nearly 200 people came to Orlando City Hall for a commemorative celebration last month.
Additional celebratory and educational events will happen around Central Florida throughout this year. For more information about celebrating this historical, landmark decision, contact the Office of Community Affairs and Human Relations at 407.246.2500.
