ORLANDO (CityofOrlando.net) – On June 30, Mayor Buddy Dyer and the City of Orlando will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act and residents are invited to attend a ceremony at City Hall.
The event is scheduled for 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
The Orlando Chapter 57 Review Board, the Mayor’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission and Holocaust Memorial Resource and Education Center of Florida are sponsoring the ceremony, which will include speakers, exhibits and a showing of a Civil Rights documentary, “The American Experience – The Civil Rights Act of 1964,” presented by WUCF.
