ORLANDO (CityofOrlando.net) – Are you looking to be an active member of your community? Do you have ideas and recommendations to make Orlando a better place to work and live?
Becoming a member of Orlando’s City Boards is a way to become involved with City government and learn about the community.
The City of Orlando is looking for participation within the Orlando Citizen Advisory Boards. Advisory board members provide unique contributions and encourage involvement in the policy-making process through voluntary service. It is vital for residents to be included in decisions about Orlando’s neighborhoods and districts.
City Board members provide advice and recommendations to the City Council on matters of public concern including zoning, municipal planning, housing codes, Downtown development, the parks system, public art, historic preservation and building and fire codes.
Individuals interested in serving on one of the 24 boards must complete a board application. All board applications are reviewed by the nominating board.
