Annually organized by the Ivanhoe Village Main Street District, Jingle Eve is a family-friendly holiday celebration featuring the lighting of Orlando’s iconic “Happy Holidays” sign and other seasonal festivities such as Santa’s Workshop, Christmas tree lighting at Gaston Edwards Park, wine stroll, food trucks, vendors, artists and live music.

Mayor Dyer encourages residents to get a head start on their holiday shopping on Saturday, November 29, as part of Small Business Saturday. As the backbone of the local economy, many of the City’s independent, family-owned retailers and restaurants provide a quaint and relaxing get-away from the typical hustle and bustle of seasonal shopping within Orlando’s eight Main Street districts, Downtown Orlando and small businesses throughout the City.

What’s Up Downtown for the Holidays

The Downtown Development Board invites you to attend a special holiday edition of What’s Up Downtown on Thursday, December 4. Come see the Russian Ballet Orlando present a scene from “The Nutcracker,” hear the sounds of the season as they are performed by the Mad Cow Theatre and experience surprise special guest appearances. In the spirit of giving, we encourage you to bring a gift to benefit the Parramore Annual Toy Drive (for children 6 to 13). One hour validated parking will be available for those who park in the City Commons Parking Garage (460 Boone Avenue).

The College Park Partnership, a City of Orlando Main Street, welcomes friends and families to join them for the Christmas tree lighting of Edgewater Drive. This event will feature live music, a live Santa Claus and other holiday festivities.

The City’s annual Tree Lighting Celebration on Friday, December 5, will feature the official lighting of the City’s 72-foot Christmas tree. The free event will include a festive choir performance, TheDailyCity.com Food Truck Bazaar, Gifts ‘n’ Goodies Christmas Village vendors, a musical from Trinity Lutheran School and a free outdoor viewing of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.”
