Keep loved ones safe and lakes clean by identifying household hazardous waste and by making sure these products are stored, used and disposed of properly.
Hazardous waste includes wet paints, petroleum products, rechargeable batteries, cleaning products, mercury, acidic or caustic chemicals, pesticides, herbicides and fertilizers.
By law, hazardous waste cannot be collected with regular garbage. Hazardous waste can be disposed of for free at the following locations:

5000 L.B. McLeod Road
Wednesday and Saturday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Porter Road Transfer Station (motor oil and batteries only)

Monday-Saturday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
