Thanks to the Orlando Magic and Quill office supplies, the children at the Dr. James R. Smith Neighborhood Center will utilize a refurbished computer lab.
On February 17, the Magic and Quill supplied the lab with new computers and furniture. District 6 City Commissioner Samuel B. Ings and Magic community ambassador Bo Outlaw were on hand to unveil the updated lab to children who utilize the neighborhood center each day.
“This is for you,” Outlaw told the youngsters. “Enjoy this. Use these computers to learn.”
One of 17 City of Orlando community centers, the Dr. James R. Smith Neighborhood Center offers an after-school enrichment program for elementary and middle school students that provides homework assistance and recreational activities.
