ORLANDO (CityofOrlando.net) – In the spring, the Orlando Police Department launched Operation Lock It Up, a proactive awareness effort aimed to help lessen the chance that residents will become victims of residential and vehicle burglaries.
The initiative provides education on the best ways to secure homes, cars and property.
In recent months, officers spent more than 36 hours canvassing the City and found 252 unlocked vehicles and 39 unsecured homes.
