Fireworks at the Fountain information
ORLANDO (CityofOrlando.net) – Fourth of July at Lake Eola Park in Downtown Orlando is a patriotic evening filled with celebration. Fireworks at the Fountain offers residents and visitors the chance to enjoy the park, performances, food and fun for the whole family.
Fireworks at the Fountain this year will feature the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, who for the first time, will be performing at the event.
“The Orlando Philharmonic has not performed before at an event of this size with such an expected crowd. We are very grateful for the opportunity to perform,” Executive Director David Schillhammer said. “Many of the Fourth of July events are known for their musical orchestral performances and the Orlando Philharmonic is hopeful to start a new tradition here in Orlando.”
The Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra will play around 8:30 p.m. on the Lake Eola amphitheater stage. The Philharmonic will accompany the fireworks display, which begins at 9:10 p.m., with live music. “The Orlando Philharmonic hopes to serve the City of Orlando and please the community with the performance. We are hoping to put on a great show. We are happy and proud to perform,” Schillhammer said.
According to Schillhammer, the Orlando Philharmonic helps add to the City’s vibrant and growing arts scene. “We impact the quality of life by providing educational activities for students and adults of all ages. We attract and maintain resources for culture, education and economic development for the community,” he said.
Performing during Fireworks at the Fountain will help the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra play in front of many people who have never seen or heard the group in person and also allows Fireworks at the Fountain to continue to grow.
