ORLANDO (CityofOrlando.net) – Z.L. Riley Park is a gem in the heart of Parramore. This exceptional park honors Mr. Zellie L. Riley, a significant Parramore businessman who in the 1950s founded the Negro Chamber of Commerce (now known as the African-American Chamber of Commerce of Central Florida). This beautiful park features mosaic artwork reflecting African themes, some of them made by Parramore Kidz Zone youth.
Z.L. Riley Park boasts a colorful playground, green spaces and tables for the community to enjoy, and consequently it is the location of many birthday parties, community events and church gatherings in the area.
Dedicated in 2010, Z.L. Riley covers half an acre in Downtown Orlando. Z.L. Riley Park is a wonderfully unique space that allows the citizens of Orlando to celebrate its unique history, while also creating new memories with their families.
