ORLANDO (CityofOrlando.net) – Participant applications for the City of Orlando’s Veterans Day Parade, which will be held on Saturday, November 8, are currently available. Mayor Buddy Dyer and his Veterans Advisory Council invite local veterans groups, community organizations and active military to participate in the parade.
In recent years, various organizations have taken part in the parade including: veterans groups, active duty military, City of Orlando firefighters and police officers, high school bands from the tri-county area and youth clubs.
Any local groups or organizations interested in participating in the parade to show support for our veterans and active duty personnel are encouraged to participate.
The application deadline is September 30.
The Veterans Day Parade will take place in Downtown Orlando, beginning at 11 a.m. at Orange Avenue at Robinson Street, turning left on Central Boulevard and left on North Rosalind Avenue, ending at Livingston Street. More than 3,000 parade participants are expected to recognize our veterans and active duty personnel in this year’s event.
