Learn more about how the Orlando Police Department works to protect residents, visitors and businesses by participating in the inaugural Chief’s Community Leadership Police Academy. Hosted by Chief John Mina, the seven-week program will provide residents with a behind-the-scenes look at the department.
Starting April 7, the academy will be held each Tuesday evening from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at the OPD Training Facility at 100 George DeSalvia Way.
Each week, Orlando Police Department personnel will inform participants on topics including the department’s communications efforts, technology, investigative work, SWAT and Emergency Response Team.
