ORLANDO (CityofOrlando.net) – Bike to Work Day in the City of Orlando was a success. On Friday, May 9, Mayor Buddy Dyer and over 250 cyclists took an active role in reducing their impact on the environment by biking to work.
The group, which included City Commissioners Robert F. Stuart and Patty Sheehan, biked from Loch Haven Park to City Hall, taking advantage of the Orlando Urban Trail for part of the ride. The contingent was the largest in the event’s nine-year history.
Many of the participants utilized SunRail to get to Loch Haven Park or to their jobs following the ride. Bicycles are welcome on board all SunRail trains.
