The City of Orlando’s 16th annual Veterans Day Parade is November 14 and participant applications are now available.
Hosted by Mayor Buddy Dyer and his Veterans Advisory Council, the parade offers a unique and patriotic opportunity for the Central Florida community to honor those who have served, as well as active duty military.
The parade is the largest Veterans Day parade in Central Florida with more than 100 organizations participating and thousands of spectators lining the streets of Downtown Orlando. News 13 will televise the parade live throughout the region.
In recent years, various groups and organizations have participated in the parade including: veterans groups, active-duty military, City of Orlando firefighters and police officers, marching bands and high school JROTC units from the tri-county area and youth clubs.
Any local groups or organizations interested in participating in the parade to show support for our veterans and active duty personnel are encouraged to participate. The application deadline is September 28.
