1 Month Pulse Tragedy Anniversary/OUAC Update
Tuesday, July 12, will mark one month since tragedy struck our community with the horrific events that unfolded in the early morning of June 12th, killing 49 people and injuring more than 50.
Our City remains strong as we continue to not let this hateful act define us. We are responding with love and unity.
Through the days, weeks, months and years ahead our community and those impacted by these tragic events will continue to work through the delicate and difficult process of healing.
The Orlando United Assistance Center has partnered with United Way, who will help to manage this center for the long-term, ensuring this critical path towards healing remains available to our community and for those who need help most.
Mayor Buddy Dyer thanked Commissioners, City staff, Orlando’s non-profit organizations, residents and businesses for their support and everything they have done to help. If you are looking for ways to help, please support the OneOrlando fund. Funds collected will provide critical support directly to the victims’ families and survivors of this tragedy. Many of whose lives have been changed forever and will never be the same.
Together we will continue to support those in need. And we will remain Orlando United.
Orlando Stands with Other Cities
Mayor Dyer acknowledged that other Cities are experiencing difficult times.
Our hearts go out to those Cities and the families and friends who are experiencing loss. And to the City of Dallas our thoughts go out to the five, fallen police officers who were killed in the line of duty.
Mayor Dyer recognized our citizens and police officers for the way they continue to work together and build our community trust.
