This fourth of July was another remarkable day in Orlando. Hundreds of thousands attended a spectacular fireworks show at Lake Eola downtown.
Our veterans, families, visitors and friends, once again demonstrated to the world that Orlando is not just called “The City Beautiful” because our our great weather, beautiful communities, resorts and theme parks.
Orlando is “The City Beautiful” because of the hearts of our people and our ability to persevere even during the most difficult times. I am so proud of the residents of Orlando and especially our veterans and people who are on the battlefield fighting for our freedom everyday.
I ask that you continue to pray for our city, our country and the world, and that we continue to defeat the people who have tried to counteract everything that our country stands for – equality, liberty and justice, not for a select few – but for everyone.
We must continue to rise in the adversity knowing that we are truly #OrlandoStrong and will conquer every challenge. I encourage everyone to keep going, to keep loving, giving and living!! We are Orlando United and We are #OrlandoUnstoppable!!!!
