District 4 Links
As your city Commissioner, my number one priority is trying to ensure the safety of the residents of District 4 and the citizens and visitors of the City of Orlando. The Orlando Police Department (OPD) is one of the finest law enforcement agencies in the country. I work very closely with the leadership of OPD and my Liaison Officer, Master Police Officer Evan Cantrall, to determine what actions we need to take to further make our community a safer one. As part of my efforts to assess the public safety needs of District 4, I review the statistics of criminal activity in the district on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Officer Cantrall compiles the most common incidents of criminal activity in monthly crime stat reports for each of the neighborhoods in District 4. In a continued effort of transparency of my office, I want to make these monthly crime reports available to the residents of my district. You may click on the links below to access that month's crime stats for all the neighborhoods in District 4. Please feel free to check my website monthly to see what we are doing to make certain your family, neighbors and you are safe and informed. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at email@example.com or Officer Cantrall at firstname.lastname@example.org.
ORLANDO POLICE DEPARTMENT ACTIVE CALLS
An additional tool to stay abreast of what is happening in your neighborhood and throughout the city is the Orlando Police Department's "Active Calls" page. This page reflects all active calls being handled by OPD officers at the time reflected by the call type. It will also provide the location of the incident and the incident number. The page automatically refreshes every 60 seconds to provide the most up-to-date information available at that time. Please be sure to visit this page to stay abreast of what your Orlando Police Department is doing to ensure your safety.
ORLANDO POLICE DEPARTMENT
The Orlando Police Department has joined several other law enforcement agencies across the nation to publish their crime data on the National Crime Map at www.CrimeReports.com. Crime data sharing will be a partnership within the community in achieving their mission: Keeping Orlando a Safe City by Reducing Crime and Maintaining Livable Neighborhoods.
Crime Reports is the largest and most accurate online resource for up-to-date crime and sex offender information. Citizens can access the integrated crime map and receive email alerts for free at www.CrimeReports.com. This is also a free app on certain mobile phones. By providing this information to our citizens and visitors, the Orlando Police Department believes it will significantly enhance our crime prevention and crime reduction efforts.
As most of you are aware, I, as a courtesy have been emailing crime stats to each neighborhood on a monthly basis for each previous month, while also, of course, providing them here. These statistics have been helpful in keeping the residents in District 4 aware of activity in their neighborhoods. This new tool will allow everyone to see a visual interactive map, crime data as to location, type, date, time and type of crime and incident report number. You can view this information as specific as each street, neighborhood, or citywide and place date ranges on the information you seek. The Orlando Police Department is committed to your safety. As always, I encourage each of you to take personal action to help ensure your safety. Also, please call 911 to report all suspicious persons or activity as you see it occur. By doing so, and acting as the eyes and ears for OPD, we can continue to work together to help reduce crime.
As always, if you need anything, please do not hesitate to contact me. If you prefer, you may contact Officer Evan Cantrall at (407) 246-2489 to schedule free, security residential or business surveys, conduct free crime prevention presentations, provide information on neighborhood or business watch, as well attend neighborhood association meetings.
Thank you, the residents, for doing your part in reducing crime in The City Beautiful.
