Mission
To connect the residents, families, businesses and
newcomers to the City of Orlando with its City, government agencies,
community-based organizations and professional entities, with the
information, resources and tools necessary to strengthen the quality
of life of its residents.
Services
The HOLA office provides an array of programs
and services thanks to the collaboration of government agencies and
more than 150 community organizations that work in parallel with the
City to provide the best guidance and assistance to the residents of
Orlando and those entrepreneurs that wish to start or develop their
businesses in the City.
The services of the HOLA office have been
improved and diversified to assist the residents in the best manner,
creating new opportunities, providing valuable information and
connecting them with important resources. Following is a list of
some of the services offered by the HOLA office:
- Information and referrals to visitors and
residents to government agencies, community and faith based
organizations
- Guidance and support to request the State
Access Program from Second Harvest Food Bank (food stamps)
- Access to computers for employment search and
seeking public assistance
- Use of conference rooms for meetings and
trainings
- Orientation related to educational services
offered by the Orange County Libraries
- Multilingual services
- Alliances and agreements with community
organizations
- Collaboration in the search and referral for
employment vacancies
- Informational activities and workshops
related to government services, private companies and third
sector in regards to housing, education, employment, business,
etc.
- Trained staff to assist senior citizens and
people with special needs
