Three First-time Homebuyers Choose to Buy in Parramore Neighborhood
Mayor Dyer’s Pathways for Parramore Initiative Continues to Lead Revitalization Efforts through Housing

WHAT: For Lynee Butler, Tasmin Grant and Angela Nichols their new homes in the Parramore neighborhood fulfill a life-long dream--to own their own home.

Preserving the Parramore neighborhood and promoting new home ownership is a top priority of the Pathways for Parramore initiative. In order to achieve this goal, the City’s Housing and Community Development Department offers a variety of programs to increase and preserve homeownership in the neighborhood through financial assistance, alternative design standards, reduced fees and homebuyer counseling.

To help other Orlando residents buy homes in Parramore, the City has established a Parramore Heritage Homebuyers Club. The Homebuyers Club is a comprehensive program of education and peer support to prepare potential buyers for fulfilling the dream of homeownership.

In addition, three major housing developments – Parramore Village, Carver Park and Callahan Square—are increasing the housing inventory by more than 300 units.
