Mayor Dyer Hosts 2nd Annual Blues-B-Q
Thousands to fill City Hall Plaza for FREE concert

WHAT: Orlando residents are invited to the 2nd annual Blues-B-Q event, a celebration of blues music and tasty barbeque. The headliners for this year’s event are The Robert Cray Band and the Queen of the Blues Koko Taylor.

Koko Taylor is a Grammy Award winner and holds 25 Blues Music Awards. Robert Cray received a Grammy for his third release, Strong Persuader. The Blues-B-Q will also feature Central Florida’s own blues acts Kaleigh Baker, Road Block, and Soul Cactus.

In addition, several types of BBQ, including local favorites Sonny’s BBQ, Porkie’s BBQ, Cecil’s BBQ and Bubbalou’s Bodacious BBQ will be available for purchase. Thanks to community partners and sponsors, admission is FREE for the Blues-B-Q event.

There will be paid parking available in the downtown parking garages and surface lots on Church Street, Central Blvd, and Pine Street. Additional information is available at http://www.cityoforlando.net/public_works/parking/index.htm.
