Mayor Dyer, Commissioner Lynum and Orlando Magic Hold Community Venues Minority and Women-Owned Business Event

WHAT: Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and District 5 Commissioner Daisy W. Lynum invite minority and women-owned businesses to learn how they can benefit from the largest public building project in Central Florida’s history. Through the development of the Blueprint, the City of Orlando is leveraging the Community Venues projects to help provide make a significant and long-term, positive economic impact for minority and women-owned businesses.

On April 29, business owners are invited to:
learn the process for obtaining contracts for the Events Center,
network with contractors pursuing prime contracts for the Events Center, and
enroll in the Turner School of Construction Management program at no cost.

In conjunction with the Blueprint, Turner Construction has partnered with the City to host a 6-week Turner School of Construction Management Course. Taught by industry professionals, this course consists of 12 intensive classroom sessions that will provide participants with broad based knowledge on how to plan and construct projects using proven techniques for successful project management. Any firm looking to improve its bottom line will benefit from participating in this program.
