Hosts Community Forum for Local,
Minority and Women-Owned Businesses

In the upcoming months, the City of Orlando will
issue the first non-construction related Request for Proposal
(RFP) for new the Amway Center – the Concessionaire Contractor.
The Concessionaire Contractor will provide food service
management for the Amway Center, Bob Carr Performing Arts Center
and the Citrus Bowl.
One of the central elements of the RFP is that
the selected firm partner with small, local, women and
minority-owned companies that can meet the diverse needs of
guests attending sporting events, concerts, banquets, community
events, family shows and other activities. In order to help
achieve this participation, the City of Orlando will be hosting
a business networking forum on October 27. This forum is for
local, minority and women-owned companies to network with
national food service providers who may bid on the
Concessionaire Contractor RFP and get a better understanding of
the City’s RFP process.
