ORLANDO – Florida CFO Alex Sink’s Department of Financial Services will provide a Disaster Preparedness workshop and Small Business Roundtable today in Orlando, with Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer serving as co-host. Small business owners will learn how to prepare financially and ensure they have adequate coverage in the event of a natural disaster. The theme of the event is Insure, Secure, and Recover and is one of 16 being held this week as part of CFO Sink’s Disaster Preparedness Blitz Week.

Partners in this event include the City of Orlando along with presenters from the Department of Financial Services’ Division of Consumer Services, Agent and Agency Services, Insurance Fraud, the Orlando Emergency Operations Center and the American Red Cross. Businesses participating in the roundtable represent a variety of industries, including construction, medical services and organizational planning.
