The new Orlando VA Medical Center will be located on a 65-acre campus in southeast Orange County. The 1.2 million square foot facility, opening in fall of 2012, will cost $665 million to construct. The medical center will have a large multispecialty outpatient clinic, 134-inpatient beds, 120-community living center beds, a 60-bed domiciliary and administrative and support services. The Veterans Memorial Park at Lake Nona will be located adjacent to the new medical center across from the south entrance at a beautiful location facing a lake. The memorial will honor approximately 1,100 Veterans from Orange, Lake, Brevard, Osceola, Seminole and Volusia counties who served in in the uniform of our country and made the ultimate sacrifice and never returned.
