Mayor Buddy Dyer Releases Veterans Day
Local Veterans Groups,
Community Organizations and Active Military Invited to Celebrate
Veterans Day with the City of Orlando and the Mayor’s Veterans Advisory
Mayor Buddy Dyer and his Veterans Advisory Council have released
participant applications for the City of Orlando’s 2011 Veterans Day
Parade now available on the City of Orlando’s Web site at
The City’s Veterans Day Parade offers a unique and patriotic opportunity
for the Central Florida community to honor our men and women in the
More than 3,000 parade participants are expected to recognize our
veterans and active duty personnel in this year’s event.
In recent years, various groups and organizations have participated
in the parade including: Veterans groups, active duty military, City of
Orlando firefighters and police officers, high school bands from the
Tri-County area, Tampa Bay Krewes and youth clubs.
Any local groups or organizations interested in participating in the
parade to show support for our veterans and active duty personnel are
encouraged to participate.
Application deadline is October 7, 2011
The Veterans Day Parade will take place Saturday, November 12 at 11 a.m.

beginning at Orange Avenue at Livingston Street, turning left on Central
