City of Orlando Launches Recycling
Program at Lake Eola Park
Recycling Bins Operational for Earth Day
Celebration
ORLANDO, FL (April 20th, 2012) – Green Works
Orlando and Keep Orlando Beautiful are excited to announce the
installment of six recycling bins at Lake Eola Park. The bins are ready
for use starting today, Friday, April 20th, just in time for 7th annual
Central Florida Earth Day on April 21st in Lake Eola Park.
Recycling not only helps preserve local resources and the environment,
but it also reduces costs associated with dumping fees.
The goals of this recycling program at Lake Eola Park are to reduce the
amount of waste going to the landfill, give residents the opportunity to
recycle and to educate the public about the benefits of recycling. Each
bin displays information as to why it is important to recycle and the
positive impact it has on our environment.
