City of Orlando and LYNX to Kick Off LYMMO Expansion

The City of Orlando, in partnership with LYNX will begin
construction on the six-mile LYMMO expansion project. When complete in
late 2013, the free downtown circulator will serve 22 new destinations
including Thornton Park, Parramore, the Creative Village and downtown
Orlando SunRail stations. Ridership is estimated to increase by more
than 4,500 per day for the hybrid electric LYMMO system. Service on the
expanded lines will operate at 10 minute frequency headways during peak
hours and every 15 minutes during off peak hours, evenings and weekends.
The operating hours will be weekdays 6 a.m-10 p.m.; Saturday 10
a.m.-midnight; and Sunday 10 a.m.-10 p.m.
