Orlando Mayor Dyer Works-Along with Orlando Tennis Centre to Prepare for
Pro Circuit Competition
Orlando Mayor Dyer will work-along with Orlando Tennis Centre staff to
prepare the tennis courts for the upcoming United States Tennis
Association (USTA) Women’s Pro Circuit.
As part of preparations, Mayor Dyer will use a rake to spread granulated
rock – known as Har-Tru - on top of the tennis courts. When the project
is complete, a total of one ton of the Har-Tru tennis court surfacing
will cover the courts. The Har-Tru substance is made of a natural green
stone with no artificial ingredients and has been used on more than
20,000 tennis courts world-wide.
The USTA Women’s Pro Circuit will be held in Orlando on March 10-17 and
is considered the pathway to the U.S. Open and tour-level competition
for tennis players.
