U.S. Secretary of Transportation Visits Orlando to
Highlight Job-Creating Investments in SunRail Commuter Rail Project
At 10 a.m. Eastern, Friday, February 22, U.S.
Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood will visit the new Florida Hospital
and adjacent SunRail station construction site to make a project funding
announcement. The visit will highlight how federal investments in public
transportation create jobs and will help tens of thousands of Central
Florida residents access jobs and medical care. Members of the state’s
congressional delegation and local officials will also attend.
