Orlando Christian Service Center: Provides hot meals, shelter,
emergency financial assistance, child care, and counseling.
Orlando Coalition for the Homeless: Provides shelter for men,
women and children
Orlando Union Rescue Mission:
The Mission provides for
immediate physical needs -- including food, clothing and shelter.
Salvation Army Men’s Shelter: Known as the Men’s Lodge, the

The Transition House, Inc.: Provides free services to homeless
veterans and their families, including financial aid assistance,
temporary housing, and facility based treatment
Hire Heroes USA: A not-for-profit organization dedicated to
creating job opportunities for US military veterans and their spouses
through personalized employment training and corporate engagement.

American Red Cross Veteran Services: Provides immediate
financial assistance, emergency communication services, and deployment
CredAbility: A nonprofit organization that provides credit
counseling & education; may also assist in foreclosures
A nonprofit organization that makes need based grants to military
families who have a Reservist - National Guard member on full time
deployment or who returned from deployment to a combat zone or homeland
security position in the last 12 months.
The Pen Fed Foundation: A
nationally recognized nonprofit organization working to meet the unmet
needs of military personnel and their families in the areas of financial
literacy, housing and support for the wounded.
Community Legal Services of Mid-Florida:
Provides Free Legal Services and works directly with veterans through
the Veteran Advocacy Project.
Camaraderie Foundation Inc.: Camaraderie
Foundation’s mission is to provide healing for invisible wounds of war
through counseling, emotional, and spiritual support for all branches of
military service members, veterans and their families
Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors:
Provides peer emotional support, case work assistance, connections to
community based care and grief and trauma resources to anyone who has
lost a military loved on.
The American Legion Department of Florida: “The
nation’s largest wartime veterans service organization, committed to
mentoring youth and sponsorship of wholesome programs in our
communities, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting strong national
security, and continued devotion to our fellow service members and
Cell Phones for Soldiers: "A non-profit
organization dedicated to providing cost-free communication services
through calling cards to active duty military members and veterans."
Habitat for Humanity: Home at Last: Builds
Accessible Mortgage-free homes for combat wounded disabled veterans
Special Operations Warrior Foundation: Provides
full college scholarship grants to surviving children of special
operations personnel. As well as, providing immediate financial
assistance to wounded special ops personnel and their families
Team Red White & Blue: A not-for-profit
organization with a mission is enrich the lives of America’s veterans by
connecting them to their community through physical and social activity.
Toys for Tots: A non-profit organization
established by the U.S. Marine Corps. They provide free Christmas toys
to children and families in need of hope and support during the holidays
UCF Community Veterans History Project: Works
to collect, preserve, and make accessible to the public the experiences
of Central Florida’s Veterans
USO: The USO has many programs including:
support for families of the fallen, Operation Phone Home, Free Afghan
Language Programs and more! Their mission is to “lift the spirits of
America’s troops and their families”
Veterans of Foreign War: The VFW’s mission is,
“to foster camaraderie among United States veterans of overseas
Wounded Warriors Project: Provides financial
assistance to help heal the physical wounds of war through various
programs (Combat Stress Recovery Program, Physical Health & Wellness
Program, Warriors to Work, Peer Mentoring, etc.)
