Mayor's Parramore Task Force

Nine Charges for the Committee

1) Evaluate social service delivery and the impact on the neighborhood.

2) Examine homeownership/renter ratio and try and ascertain how many people with some assistance could own vs. rent if housing stock and means were made available.

3) Provide recommendations on how to bring back the business and entertainment district on Parramore. What can the city/state feds do?

4) Recommend strategies to improve public safety in Parramore.

5) Examine open spaces and make recommendations on the need, if any, for additional open spaces or parks.

6) Develop or provide block by block analysis of the Parramore Heritage District, i,e, sidewalks, unpaved roads, etc.

7) Identify remaining public works need in Parramore, i.e. stormwater, drainage, streets, etc.

8) What are the challenges that people moving in to Parrramore face and what challenges do people face who have lived all their lives in Parramore.

9) Finally, gain some historical perspective on the neighborhood. Take a look at what Parramore once was and why and make recommendation on what it can be; and review previous Parramore studies to gain additional insight of the area.
