DR. P. PHILLIPS ORLANDO PERFORMING ARTS CENTER ELECTS NEW MEMBERS TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
 

ORLANDO, FLA - The Dr. P. Phillips Orlando Performing Arts Center (DPAC) has elected eight new members to the performing arts center board who will lend expertise to the design, building and operations of a new performing arts center in downtown Orlando. New board appointments include Davis Gaines, Orlando native and noted Broadway singer/actor; Philip Kobrin, retired Orlando businessman; Alex Martins, Orlando Magic chief operating officer; Craig Ustler, Ustler Development Inc. owner and president; Kathleen Waltz, Orlando Sentinel president and publisher; Jim Heistand, Eola Capital president; Joyce Green, active community volunteer and past president of the Friends Board for the Mennello Museum of American Art; and Thomas M. Roehlk, Tupperware Brands executive vice president and chief legal officer.

In addition, Orange County Mayor Richard Crotty has selected Dr. Sandy Shugart, president of Valencia Community College, as his ex-officio designee, and Rick Walsh, chairman of the University of Central Florida's Board of Trustees, has been designated an ex-officio member by UCF President Dr. John Hitt.

"We are very pleased to have these great minds and community leaders on the performing arts center board," said DPAC Chairman Jim Pugh. "Each will bring his/her own special talents to make this project a world-class facility for residents and visitors alike."
