Typically, there are only a handful of companies that specialize in providing food service management to large facilities such as the Amway Center, the Florida Citrus Bowl and the Bob Carr Performing Arts Centre. As part of the City’s construction of the new Community Venues, the BLUEPRINT was developed to ensure contracting opportunities for small and local companies.
One of the elements of the RFP for the Concessionaire Consultant will be that the selected firm partner with small, local and women and minority-owned companies that can meet the diverse needs of patrons attending sporting events, concerts, banquets, community events, family shows and other activities.
In order to provide additional opportunities for local, minority and women-owned companies to be apart of the Concessionaire team, the City of Orlando will be hosting a community forum for these businesses to meet with the national food service providers who may be bidding on the Concessionaire Consultant proposal.
